Massage for Kids: A Small Habit That Makes a Big Difference

As a dad, some of my favourite moments with my daughters—aged 3.5 years and 8 months—happen as part of our bedtime routine. That winding-down space, when we reconnect after a big day.

Remedial massage for children isn’t just about muscles or movement—it’s about comfort, presence, and connection. For babies, it can soothe restlessness, ease common discomforts such as colic, wind, and sleep disturbances. For toddlers and young children, it’s a chance to release the day’s energy, calm the nervous system, and feel safe and grounded.

I can see the shift in both of them—shoulders drop, eyes soften, bodies relax. A few minutes of calm touch, deep breaths, all creating a calm, predictable rhythm that helps them feel safe and ready for sleep.
